Background: Founded in 2008, iVentiv is a young and dynamic family-run business which will offer a prospective employee an exciting career in a growing international business. We organise a series of small international conferences for executives (VP/Directors) from companies with an average of 100,000 employees (40 participants per event). Executives from over 350 of the Fortune Global 500 companies have joined our events. Our unique approach has seen us achieve average event scores of 90% – a record unmatched in this industry. Due to continued growth and sustained demand for our events we are now looking to grow our team.

1. Job Spec: iVentiv – Conference Producer

Salary: £18,000 - £25,000 (dependent upon experience) + uncapped commission + annual bonus (£2,000 - £6,000). Permanent role.

Reporting to: iVentiv’s Director of Sales

The role: iVentiv Conference Producer
Job Purpose:
To produce conferences which meet the needs of our target markets and therefore generate revenue and profit. To undertake focused research, write compelling conference programmes, recruit speakers and run conferences on site and to assume ownership for the end to end process of running successful conferences.

Key tasks:
 Identify the target audience for a given conference idea and the most marketable angle on this topic
 Research content of conference programmes through telephone research
 Research markets for conference sponsorship, identify target markets for sponsorship and develop unique selling points (USPs) to drive sponsorship
 Gain a high-level understanding of the HR, Learning and Development market
 Research and record competitive events
 Write informative, marketable conference programmes based on research
 Identify potential add-ons to provide incremental revenue
 Take a strategic view of the positioning of the conference
 Identify, approach and confirm suitable speakers and pass on any potential delegates to the delegate team
 Ensure speakers are briefed on the required content of their presentation
 Send speakers guidelines once secured and brief the event managers of confirmed speakers so they can follow up
 Take overall responsibility for the marketability of conference programmes
 Attend any external events to gain knowledge and content, where appropriate
 Liaise with sponsors to ensure their sessions fit into the agenda
 Negotiate speakers’ expenses where (if) necessary
 Oversee design of the conference brochure ensuring key selling points are emphasised
 Manage workload to hit deadlines
 Working on several events at one time

The Ideal Candidate:
• Conference production experience;
• An interest in the Learning and Development sector;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Excellent organisational and planning skills;
• The ability to research and deliver engaging proposals to the CEO;
• Attending iVentiv events across EMEA, USA & beyond

Person Specification:
• Previous experience in a similar role producing high level conferences with demonstrable success in growing both the delegate and sponsorship revenue
• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
• Strong project management skills
• Strategic thinking and forward planning
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• Knowledge of relevant HR Leaning and Development and new technologies a plus, but not essential
• A strong copy writer and able to communicate an effective value proposition across the team
• Proven experience in developing new topics and launch events profitably
• High-energy, highly motivated and able to work at high levels of productivity to meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and also as part of a team

• Strong administrative and organisation skills with good attention to detail
• Excellent team player and team builder that understands the value of working with others
• Excellent communication skills, able to present ideas and information with clarity and impact. Able to listen, absorb information and feedback from others
• Willing and able to go the extra mile and stretch the expectations and capabilities of themselves and others
• This role will require some international and regional travel, which may require weekend travel

Job Purpose: To generate new sponsors for our market-leading run of annual events. To ensure revenue targets are met for all annual events.

The role: iVentiv Sponsorship Sales Executive
This role is ideal for someone who is target driven, self-motivated, with a knowledge of Human Recourses, Talent Management, Learning and Development. This person will need to work within a team to deliver a common objective, as well as being able to work on their own initiative.

Job Specification:
Telesales to new sponsors;
Meeting new sponsors where appropriate;
Managing prospects and sales pipelines;
Researching and keeping up-to-date with relevant sponsors;
Attending iVentiv events across EMEA, USA & beyond;
Dealing with enquiries both on the telephone & via email correspondence;
Maintaining and updating the company CRM (database).

Person Specification:
Degree educated;
Proven sales experience;
Ability to work independently and also as part of a team;
Target driven;
Excellent communicator;
Flexible to attend international events, which may require weekend travel;
Multiple languages would be advantageous.

Job Purpose:
To build and develop relationships with new and existing connections (event delegates). Ensuring that iVentiv delivers a set number of executive level delegates for each event in our calendar.

The role: iVentiv Delegate Sales Associate (Global)
Job Purpose: To build and develop relationships with new and existing connections (event delegates). Ensuring that iVentiv delivers a set number of executive level delegates for each event in our calendar.
As a Global Sales Associate you will be responsible for recruiting Vice President and Director level executives to join our events. You will be comfortable talking with senior level executives over the telephone and capable of building new relationships. You will be expected to keep track of trends and developments in the HR, Talent Management and Learning & Development communities whilst being aware of broader organisational challenges.

Job Purpose:
• To update/amend and populate records on the CRM database that need to be corrected
• To create weekly target lists from the CRM database for the team to use when calling clients
• To create email correspondence to send to iVentiv’s clients when needed
• Recruiting Vice President and Director level Executives to join iVentiv events
• To build and develop relationships with new and existing connections
• Ensuring iVentiv delivers a set number of executive level delegates for each event

Key tasks:
• To have a good understanding of iVentiv’s clients and who we target
• Identify records on the CRM database that need to be corrected
• Source and populate missing/new clients and input them into the database
• Creating weekly target lists from the CRM database for the team to use when calling clients
• Take responsibility of the effectiveness of the CRM database
• Excellent communicator, both with clients and internally
• Creating email correspondence to send to iVentiv’s clients
• Recruiting clients for iVentiv events
